Diy Canopy Beds

Canopy beds are not just for royalties or rich people. You can have a canopy bed in your bedroom and you don't even have to spend a fortune. Instead of purchasing costly canopy beds, you can put your imagination to use and generate your own agreeing to your taste and budget.

If you don't have a poster bed and you want to have a canopy bed, you can use shower curtains and hang them on the ceiling. You can place one just above the bed, one at the center, and another one above the foot of the bed. It should be perpendicular to the bed and parallel to each other. To add the finishing touches, you can use a long fabric that would cascade from the head to the foot of the bed. This will make a easy yet elegant bed canopy. If you want a full canopy with a modern design, instead of three rods, you can use four rods and place them above each side of the bed. You can use ornamental hooks similar to the ones used for shower curtains to keep the fabrics from falling out.

You can also use this recipe to generate a primary full canopy. Instead of using shower rods, you can use wood strips to frame the shape of the bed. To give it a more expert look, use heavy curtains on the covering and sheer fabric on the inside. Use a pelmet nearby the bed to add to the appeal. Since you are using more than one fabric, you have to make sure that they are securely fastened to the wooden strips to keep them from falling. Add a trim to give it an extra pizzazz and use accessories such as tie backs, rings, or clips.

One of the best things about making your own bed canopies is that they can actually be removed when you are remodeling and no longer want a canopy.
