Some Cute and inexpensive Ideas For a Disney Princess Bedroom
If you have a daughter who is currently obsessed about the Disney princesses, I bet she would love to have her own Disney princess bedroom. It can be a bit high-priced to wholly transform a bedroom, especially if you don't know how long the interest in princesses will last. There are some cute ways to add a few magical Disney touches to a girls bedroom that won't break the bank and won't take too long to do. Here's a few suggestions.
Disney Wallpaper Borders
If the bedroom is already painted in a neutral color scheme, adding a Disney princess wallpaper border is inexpensive and not very much work. It can add a nice touch to any room that is painted white or in pastel colors. If you have brighter colors in the room, then it might take a tiny more endeavor to find a border that matches properly, but there are a lot of Disney wallpaper borders available. So a tiny bit of hunting should help you find something perfect.
I like to use the borders about two-thirds of the way down the wall rather than right up at where it meets the ceiling. I think it breaks up the blank space nicely and draws more focus to the Disney characters when they are closer to a child's eye level.
Disney Princess bedding
There are lots of collection of licensed Disney princess sheets, comforters and pillow cases, so new bedding can really transform the room and it will create a princess focal point. You can buy a bed in a bag set with a fitted sheet, (sometimes a top sheet), a comforter and pillow case that are decorated with the Disney princesses. Or you can buy pieces separately. So you could match Princess sheets with a plain comforter and maybe get some Princess pillowcases to accent, for a lighter touch.
A Bed Canopy for a Princess
No matter what kind of bed is currently in your daughter's room, you can really transform it into a bed worthy of a princess by adding a uncomplicated bed canopy. I'm talking about the kind of canopy that hangs from a particular hook in the ceiling and comes down over the head of the bed. You can buy these in assorted colors such as white, pink and purple, etc.
You could also buy a Disney princess themed bed canopy, but I prefer to save the themed purchases for the bedding itself. If you want something more subtle though, you can switch that around. Get some plain pastel colored sheets and a quilt and then top that off with a Disney princess canopy.
