There is no doubt that the bedroom is a sanctuary to many of us. We spend practically a third of our lives in the bedroom. We sleep there, enjoy ability family time, and relax after a hard day's work. Therefore it is indispensable to ensure that our bedrooms are comfortable at all times.

Decorating the bedroom may not as easy as it may sound. It entails more than just choosing on a bed and dressers. It requires attention to every small information such as:

- The dimensions of your bedroom,

- Your budget,

- The size of the mattresses,

- The width of the headboard,

- And the farranging style that you want to achieve.

It is also important to think other pieces you may want to consist of in your bedroom such as Armoires, Nightstands, Mirrors, etc. If you are going to accentuate your bedroom with pieces such as these, it may be a good idea to purchase them as a set since each piece will compliment each other and provide a sense of consistency in your bedroom furnishings. You also may be able to save money by buying a set all at once instead of a piece at a time.

If you are decorating for a child's or teen's bedroom, think a smaller mattress such as a Twin (otherwise known as a Single) which commonly are 39 inches wide by 75 inches long. However, if you are finding to decorate the bedroom for an adult, you may want the extra sleeping space and settle to go with a Queen or King-sized mattress. Queens are 60 inches wide by 80 inches long. Kings are commonly 72 inches by 84 inches.

- A Canopy bed is essentially the same as a Four-poster bed, but with a draped covering. It is a beloved choice due to its elegant and warm feeling, accentuated by linens and drapes overbearing the top of the bed.

Platform Beds:

- Platform beds are very simple in form, utilizing simple lines and are ordinarily simple, rectangular bed frames, close to the ground. They commonly use a modern or modern design. Since the bed is commonly not as high as a standard bed, using a platform bed as the focal point will make the room appear larger and more spacious.
Panel Beds:
