Convertible Chair Beds Are Trendy and Functional
Everybody has heard about convertible sofa beds, but did you know that you can also get a convertible chair bed? Let's take a look at a couple of dissimilar styles, who makes them, and why you would want one.
Two manufacturers of the convertible chair bed are Wholesale Interiors and Furniture Fx. Both fellowships are relatively new in the industry, both having been colse to for less than ten years.
Wholesale Interiors has only been colse to since 2002, and in a short time has become one of the largest furniture wholesalers in the country. They manufacture four dissimilar goods lines in a wide range of styles fluctuating from customary to modern. Some of their more unique styles is in the convertible chair bed. Their basic chair has a long fold up cushion which serves as the back, folds 90 degrees for the seat and then doubles back on itself to duplicate the thickness of the seat. The cushion sits on a metal base with legs. The base extends out, and the back is adjustable to be upright, flat or half way in between. For a bed, pull out the legs, lay down the back and unfold the cushion. If you want a lounger, just recline the back 45 degrees, stretch out and relax!
But even more unique is their duplicate convertible chair bed / sofa. This piece of furniture has two cushions similar to the one above, and is the greatest piece of adjustable furniture. You can have them side by side on their base to seem a couch. Or, the base will enlarge out sideways, separating the two cushions, to become two chairs with a low table between them. Or, you can then swivel the chairs to face each other with a small table in the middle. Finally, with both chairs facing forward, legs enlarge level out to turn either one or both chairs into a bed, either fully reclined or with the back partially up like a lounger. So, you can have a bed for either one or two people. Truly a versatile piece of furniture!
Furniture Fx is a California based business that labels themselves as a "fashion send lifestyle furniture company". Their three focuses are fashion, with designs that reflect elements from today's society; quality, by manufacturing their furniture to stringent store standards; and reliability, by backing all of their products with a manufacturer's warranty.
The convertible chair bed that they manufacture is a thoroughly dissimilar style than the one's made by Wholesale Interiors. It is their Newport convertible chair that looks like a regular, comfy arm chair with a durable and easy to clean microsuede upholstery, nice solid wood legs and a solid hardwood frame that is kiln dried. However, the back can fully recline using the same click clack mechanism that they use on their sofas. This gives you 2/3 of the bed (or a bed suitable for a child). The rest of the bed is formed by adding a matching storehouse ottoman giving you a single bed.
So, why would you want a single convertible chair bed? Well, they take up very little room, being only a chair, but still supply a bed for visiting guests. Which is great if you do not have a separate guest room. They are also very modern and fashionable, and sure to catch the attentiveness of any visitors. So it is also an instant conversation piece!
