• Check the status of your ceiling. Is it sturdy enough to hold your canopy? To test its sturdiness, screw a hook on it and then try pulling it. If it remains, then you can proceed.
• Decide on where to place your canopy. Since it has an opening, you must make a choice on what side of the bed should be facing the opening. It is best that the opportunity should be place on the side that you use often. Therefore, it is easy to come in and out of your bed.
• Buy enough hooks and strings. 40-50 hooks are enough. Buy also curtains if you do not have one in your house. Aside from these, you may buy also things that you will need in beautifying your bed.
• Measure your bed. Take note of how long and how wide it is. Try to double the measurements on the ceiling. Use a pencil or a label with a light shade so that it can be erased.
• Screw the hooks on the line that you had drawn on the ceiling. If you are finished, add now the curtains. See to it that it should cover the entire bed. Take note also of your opening.
